A time for flowers to bloom, warm breezes to waft, and sexy people to get nekkid, nekkid, nekkid without fear of freezing anything off. As Pinchbottom celebrates one year at Collective:Unconscious, we celebrate our first two-night run, two new themes, and a repeat of a show we've been promising to repeat since the summer of 2006. APRIL: THE PINCH BROTHERS in "THE BAWDY HOUSE" Marx Brothers Burlesque, Friday April 20th & Saturday April 21st at 10pm Dateline: Hollywood. The 1930s. The heyday of the Pinchbottom Motion Picture Company, when the studio produced the work for which they are best known: the madcap black and white comedies featuring the slapstick antics of the vaudevillian troupe THE PINCH BROTHERS (also sisters). One of these films, entitled "THE BAWDY HOUSE", was so salacious for its time that some consider it singlehandedly responsible for the institution of the Motion Picture Production Code. As described in the original press materials: "THE PINCH BROTHERS (also sisters) are hired to save an ailing legit theater, which they accomplish by converting it into a BAWDY HOUSE, complete with ribald comedy, risqué magic, and of course, burlesque, burlesque, burlesque! But as opening night approaches, everything starts going wrong – buttons keep popping, pants keep dropping, and the schtick keeps getting schticky. Hosts Nasto (NASTY CANASTA) and Porko (JONNY PORKPIE), aided and abetted by their siblings ALBERT CADABRA, ANITA COOKIE, BASTARD KEITH, GIGI LA FEMME, LITTLE BROOKLYN, NAUGHTIA NICE, PEEKABOO POINTE, RUBY VALENTINE, SCOTT RAYOW and TIGGER!, bring a whole new meaning to the word 'slapstick'." MAY: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE NAKED Wild West Burlesque, Friday, May 18th at 10pm It's a showdown at the Pinchbottom Corral, hosted by outlaw NASTY CANASTA and Sheriff JONNY PORKPIE, with AJ Silver, Bastard Keith, Creamy Stevens, GiGi La Femme, Jo Boobs Naughtia Nice, Peekaboo Pointe, The Pontani Sisters, Scarlet Sinclair, Trixie Little & The Evil Hate Monkey, and Veronika Sweet. Who will be the quickest draw in the West? JUNE: POW! ZAP! BOOB! Superpowered Burlesque re-run, Friday, June 15 at 10pm When hosts NASTY CANASTA and JONNY PORKPIE are bitten by a radioactive spider as they rocket from their exploding home planet, a bat flies through the window of their ship, exposing them to cosmic rays which activate their latent mutant abilities. Confused by the ludicrous mix of powers they receive, Nasty and Jonny turn to evil and set out to conquer the world. Can superpowered performances by ANITA COOKIE, CREAMY STEVENS, GIGI LA FEMME, HARVEST MOON, PEEKABOO POINTE, BASTARD KEITH, NAUGHTIA NICE, SCHAFFER THE DARKLORD, and SETH HERZOG bring down the villainous hosts?
